Do packages require a signature?
No. Though, we may consider adding an ability to request this soon.

What is your return policy?
All of our treats are handmade and perishable. Given this, our treats are non-returnable and non-refundable.

We want you to be delighted with our products. If you experience an issue with your order, please email us at hello@topogato.com and we will take care of you. For questions regarding shipping, please visit our Shipping & Care page for any additional information you may be looking for.

Do you ship internationally?
We aren’t currently shipping outside of the continental US, but are regularly reviewing how and when we will make our treats available internationally.

What allergens are contained in your products?
All of our treats are processed in a facility that handles dairy, peanuts, wheat, soy and tree nuts. We do our utmost to avoid cross-contaminating and separate everything we make by hand so as to ensure quality and safety, though we cannot guarantee 100% that there was no cross-contamination for extreme allergies.

Are your treats gluten free?
We offer a rotating selection of treats that do include gluten free items, many of our offerings are inherently free of any wheat products, but to be sure please refer to the item’s ingredient list which can be found on its corresponding product page.

How long do your chocolates last? How quickly should they be enjoyed upon receiving?
We recommend enjoying our Truffles and Gourmet Chocolate Bars within 2 weeks of receiving them to experience what we call “peak delight”, however they will last up to a month at ambient temperature, and two months in refrigeration. While refrigerating and freezing items can greatly increase the life of filled chocolate products, it's generally discouraged to avoid changing the texture of the product.

I can’t find a specific treat that I love; where did it go?
We offer collections and treats with limited availability due to seasonal ingredients, seasonal tastes, and creative whims that we’d like to share with you. Subscribe to our email newsletter, or follow us on Instagram @topogato to be the first to know when your favorite treats are restocked.

Where are your treats made?
All of our treats are handmade in San Francisco, CA.

How do I become a retailer?
Please email hello@topogato.com. We would love to talk with you.

What does Topogato mean?
In Italian, topo means mouse, and gatto* means cat (*we dropped a “t”).

After accomplished careers in the culinary and design worlds, we’ve learned that creativity is a perpetual chase, and in this regard the metaphor of “cat and mouse” resonates with us. As creatives, we’re in constant pursuit of new ways to delight and inspire people with unexpected flavors and perspectives.
